Of sparklings and human college students chapter 8

Diamond was taken to Ratchet to get her shoulder repaired then had been scolded by Dana for not asking for help.

"I didn't see any human girls who could help you though!" the sparkling pointed out.

"Even so, if it was up to me I'd ban you from watching Blue's Clues tomorrow." The human college student replied.

It was Causeway and Optimus who had said that Diamond had to go to her room and not come out for the rest of the evening. The blue femme started throwing a temper tantrum though and had tears streaming down her face..

"If you ignore her, she'll calm down eventually." Dana told the 2 sparkmates.

"Not quite what I had in mind but we will try that." Optimus Prime said.

When Dana had left the Autobot leader's office, the sparkling didn't even notice it. Optimus went back to work while Causeway left to attend to other duties. Then Diamond fell into recharge and Optimus took her into her room and put her on the berth, then walked out without remembering to shut the door.

Now here it was a few hours later, and Diamond had been trying to make a pile of her books to climb up to a window to run away and get out. "Darn it, I need more of this stuff." She said sighing.

"I think what you need is some energon." Someone else was saying.

Diamond turned around to see Jazz; he had not often spent time with her but she did like him. "No."

"You sure about that?" he asked.

"Yes." The sparkling replied, crossing her arms over her chest.

The 2nd in command of the Autobots smiled and left the energon cube on the floor beside the blue femme "just in case you decide to have it later."

"If only I could run away." Diamond muttered. "Prime and Causeway hate me."

"That's not true kid." Jazz told her. "Besides, if you run away from here, where are you going to go?"

"Disneyland." The sparkling said sadly. "It's going to take months to get there though since I'd have to walk. I hate being too small for an alternate mode!"

Jazz gave her a hug. "You know Snowdew would get upset if you just left so would everyone else. Plus you've got to pack your stuff up if you're going to leave."

Diamond then drank the whole energon cube, then tried to find something to use for a suitcase but was unsuccessful. "No fair! I can't leave if I can't take my toys and books with me!"

"Indeed you can not." Optimus Prime had walked in to the room and told Jazz. "I will take it from here."

"You planned this?!" Diamond shouted as Jazz left the room and the Autobot leader shut the door behind him. Optimus then put one hand on the sparkling's shoulder. She immediately got away from him and threw herself onto the berth .

"What is it little one?" Optimus wanted to know.

"You don't love me cause I was stupid and I wanted to leave since you won't worry but now I can't." she replied sadly.

"That is very far from the truth Diamond." The last Prime told her. "If Causeway and I did not love you, we would not punish you for doing something wrong and ignore you if you needed us there; throwing yourself on the floor and complaining is not going to get you anything from anyone here though."

"I'm sorry." Diamond started crying again.

Optimus picked her up and said "It is all right; your punishment still stands but we will let you say goodbye to Dana before she has to go back home."

"Okay." The sparkling hugged him. "But what would you do if I run away or get kidnapped?"

"I would look for you with the help of the other Autobots until we found and rescued you and ensured that you were out of harm's way." Optimus Prime said. "Running away can never solve your problems little one; that you must always remember."

Soon Causeway had come into check on both of them. She said "I believe somebody needs her bath."

Diamond was put down and then she followed the older femme out of the room while Optimus went back into his own quarters. 15 minutes later, the sparkling had been washed up and was now in recharge again; there would be no bedtime story for her tonight but if she was good tomorrow she would get to hear one the next night. Diamond started dreaming of many things involving having fun with her family and friends thinking everything seemed to be turning out okay just like in Disney movies even though tomorrow would prove that at least temporarily, it was far from the truth…
